Чарли и его оркестр, проект, спродюсированный д-ром Йозефом Геббельсом, jazz evergreens про жида-политрука и “Джон, иди домой”, - вот, скажем, статья в Deutsche Welle (eng.). В их версии “Лили Марлен”, например, англоамериканскому солдату предлагается от лица классово близкого немецкого солдата не маяться дурью, а вернуться домой и там обнять свою девушку, - как он, немецкий солдат, однажды обнял свою Лили Марлен. Тридцатые годы: средние волны для Британии, короткие волны для Канады и Штатов. Чарли - это Карл Швендлер.
В этой самой статье сказано, что после всего музыканты уже никогда больше не играли в качестве “Чарли и его оркестра”, это как раз не диво, но вот, страшно интересно, в каком качестве они потом играли.
